What wedo best.
Vacuum Formimg
Vacuum forming uses atmospheric pressure to mould a wide range of thermoplastics onto a moulding tool to a specific shape and is then trimmed to the customer’s exact requirements. The aesthetic quality of the finished component is dependant on the design and quality of the tooling used, and the precision of the vacuum forming process. Our extensive knowledge of tool design, combined with the use of computer controlled machinery to give accurate temperature control during the moulding process enables Trueform to deliver high specification products as either individual items or as complete assembled units.
Drape Forming
Drape forming is a technique using a single positive mold, on which a heated sheet of plastic is placed. After the sheet is softened by thermal processing, it sags and conforms to the shape of the mold under its own weight or by slight pressure applied by an operator. Drape forming uses gravity to provide the force needed to achieve the required shape, therefore giving superior quality in clarity of clear items. This process is ideally suited to display stands as well as car and boat screens.
Blow Moulding
Blow moulding is a process whereby a sheet of heated plastic, usually cast acrylic, is heated up in a thermoforming oven. After the sheet has reached its forming temperature it is placed into a clamping jig and air is blown into the sheet. The elasticity of the sheet causes it to form into a dome or other depending on jig shape.
